Timeline

I spent the holidays of 2022 searching the internet for something to track my zoo travels. I have a scratch-off world map hanging in my room, that's where the inspiration started.

I began talking about my idea out loud to people, this was my market research. I also process my thoughts out loud, which helps me plan and make sense of everything. 

I began taking my vision and putting it on paper, I was going to have a friend make all my artwork digital, but when that wasn't going to plan I invested in an iPad. I did all the artwork myself and hired a publisher to help me put it all together.

I worked with the publisher to put my dream on paper and work out the details of the project. He helped me find printers and acted as a liaison for me. 

Getting quotes from printing companies and working out the details of establishing an LLC. Built a website and developed the social media pages to start building a community

Recieved the first printed copies of the journal, to approve for mass printing. Established a sole proprietorship March 8.

Final edits made and the printing process began April 29. Timeline of printing and delivery process received May 1. 

Launching June

The journals have officially launched and pre-orders are a thing of the past!

I packaged up and sent off the first round of journals

I worked with a graphic designer to design a t-shirt graphic and met with a few t-shirt printers to develop and launch a T-shirt.

The book is now featured in 4 gift shops around the country!
